Kevin Feige has confirmed that the much-clamored trailer for Avengers: Infinity War will roll out before the year ends.  Easily one of the most anticipated films of 2018, the ensemble tentpole will serve as Marvel Studios’ 10-year anniversary offering for all their fans who have relentlessly followed their film-by-film narrative arc.

Given the scope of the film, everyone is obviously very hyped-up for the trailer, especially for those who cannot wait to see their favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe characters all meet-up together. A few lucky people have already seen the Infinity War sizzle reel shown at D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year - footage that has since leaked online illegally. Marvel Studios, for its part, is standing its ground and holding off on releasing Infinity War footage officially until it is ready to go.

With several months to go before Infinity War arrives, the studio isn’t exactly pressed to start marketing the film now. As the waiting game continues, Marvel Studios head honcho Feige shed some light as to when we will get an official Infinity War trailer. Taking Feige’s comment into consideration, we now only have roughly two and half months away from saying goodbye to 2017. That means that in the next several weeks, the Infinity War trailer can drop. While Marvel could very well choose just to casually release the preview on the Internet, most fans are betting on it being attached to Marvel’s fast-approaching Thor: Ragnarok in theaters. Marvel is also far from done promoting Black Panther (a film that will arrive before Infinity War next year), so it’s possible that Ragnarok will include a new trailer for that movie instead, with the Infinity War teaser held back for later.

Another possibility is to attach it to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which rolls out in December and is under the same Disney banner. This second scenario, in hindsight, makes more sense as it gives Marvel enough time to finish the trailer, which Marvel co-president Louis D’Esposito revealed is already in the process of being put-together. Additionally, with Infinity War supposedly going through some reshoots and some pick-up shots, the December roll-out gives them the opportunity to use some of those new shots in the proper-cut trailer.

The project dubbed as the most ambitious movie to date is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and is written by Stephen Markus and Christopher McFeely: the same people behind the last two Captain America films. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will finally cross paths with the cosmic-based Guardians of the Galaxy in Infinity War (something Ragnarok will help to set-up). Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Black Panther will also lend a helping hand to the Avengers in their efforts in protecting the Earth from mad titan Thanos.
