In Bachelor Nation, there are a number of celebrities who are devoted fans. As a matter of fact, many of these VIP viewers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have been right under our noses this entire time.
Take Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland. The doe-eyed actress was such a huge fan of the show, she didn’t hesitate to start a social media flirtation with Wells Adams during his time on Bachelor in Paradise. As of January 2020, the couple is engaged to be married. Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kris Jenner has also developed a taste for The Bachelor. It was revealed in 2014 that she and season 16 star Ben Flajnik were friends… and possibly more. Outlets were so confused by their relationship, they continued to cover the story well into 2016 - with Jenner and Flajnik photographed everywhere from running errands to having cocktails at a Kanye West concert. Rachel Bilson is another television star who is a self-professed fan of The Bachelor. She and Nick Viall have been romantically linked after she appeared on his podcast and gave cryptic interviews about the true nature of their relationship. The two have finally doubled down on the fact that they are just platonic buddies. After all, Bilson walked the red carpet at the 77th Golden Globe Awards with confirmed boyfriend Bill Hader (Barry).
Speaking of Nick Viall, he’s attracted the romantic interest of more than one beautiful lady in Hollywood. Mad Men star January Jones reportedly developed a crush on the aspiring actor back in 2018. Dating rumors soon followed. Jones answered them with her signature wit. Of Viall, she explained: “You don’t know if you like him or if he’s a scumbag and I think that’s why I’m attracted to him, maybe?”
At the height of her popularity, comedian Amy Schumer made an appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette back in 2015. The cameo unearthed Schumer’s devotion to the franchise, as well as a few funny moments as she judged Bristowe’s suitors in a comedy challenge. Jennifer Lawrence - Schumer’s real-life bestie - is also said to be a devoted viewer. But Lawrence isn’t the only Academy Award winner tuning in to the long-running series. Best Actress Charlize Theron has been quite vocal over the years about her love and disdain for the titular leads. When Arie Luyendyk was given his own season of the show in 2018, only to dump fiancée Becca Kufrin weeks after the finale, the Atomic Blonde star famously remarked, “She is so much better off. I mean, literally, not impressive. Not impressed with him at all.” Theron has since set her sights on current Bachelor Peter Weber. The actress recently spoke about him while at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She was even photographed posing in front of a bus bench ad with his photo on it and posting a nod to his season on her Instagram account.
Celebrities from all walks of life are absolutely enthralled by the Bachelor franchise. Perhaps it’s the jet-set lifestyle and the promise of romance with a handsome stranger who is, by Hollywood standards, an average Joe that excites the stars. Fans also enjoy seeing celebs engage with the cast members of the series as well. Fans loved it when Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis showed up during Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette and admitted they watch the show together while unwinding with a glass of wine, or when Gigi Hadid started following season 15 hunk Tyler Cameron, leading to a steamy summer romance. Maybe now that Demi Lovato is so totally over her flirtation with Mike Johnson (also from The Bachelorette season 15), we’ll even get our first African-American male star of the show.
