Jordan Kimball, who made his name on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, will reportedly be joining the Chippendales for Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas. Anyone who has seen Jordan on television before knows this opportunity is right up his alley.

The controversial reality television personality began his journey on The Bachelorette in 2018, during Becca Kufrin’s season. He was the villain of the house, stirring up drama at every turn. He constantly feuded with David Ravitz, which meant the two were destined to go on a two-on-one date. While David was dumped in lieu of Jordan, Becca smartly let Jordan go over dinner that same night. Jordan was a shoe-in to return for Bachelor in Paradise that summer, where he dated Jenna Cooper. The two remained together after the show, but, as Bachelor couples often do once the cameras turn off, their relationship flamed out. When Jordan returned on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019, he seemed less interested in finding someone to date than he was in creating a scene. He did just that when he engaged in a physical altercation with Christian Estrada. That fight got both Christian and Jordan sent home, effectively ending, it would seem, both their chances of returning to the franchise.

But it wouldn’t be consistent with Jordan’s personality to avoid the spotlight. Jordan said in a statement to People about joining Chippendales, “This show is iconic and to headline in Vegas is something I’ve always wanted to do so it’s a win-win! And who knows, maybe my golden underwear will make an encore appearance at the Rio?” The golden underwear is a reference to one of the outfits he wore on Becca’s season, ostensibly to draw more attention to himself.

Chippendales Managing Partner Kevin Denberg told People, “We are excited to have Jordan joining us a guest host on Valentine’s Day weekend. He’s great looking and witty — exactly what our audience wants and expects from our celebrity hosts. Jordan will be the perfect addition for this special weekend." Though this might be a ploy for attention, it’s not being done an attempt to find love. According to Jordan’s Instagram, he’s dating a woman named Christina Creedon. The two appear to have been together since late 2019.

While Jordan was a lightning rod figure on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, he never did anything that was truly abhorrent. He lost his temper and he searched for controversy rather than steering clear of it, but The Bachelor has casted far worse people. Through his three appearances on the show, he toed the line of being hated as a television character and despised as a person very delicately, and it’s because he didn’t step over that line (yet) that he has gotten the chance to guest host Chippendale’s.
