It is 2016 and we are roughly three months away from the release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which expands the DCEU in a big way by introducing Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) into the continuity established by director Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.

According to a recent report, a lot of major potential spoilers were leaked after a test-screening, including the next Green Lantern actor. We may (or may not) now know some huge plot points, including some which suggest that Aquaman (Jason Momoa) will receive significant screen time. This is the most we’ve heard about Aquaman since getting a look at leaked images of the character’s toy.

Now, thanks to Superhero Hype (via CBM) we have a look at some new Batman V Superman merchandise – toys, T-shirts, and mugs which include not just Batman and Superman, but prominently feature Aquaman and Wonder Woman as well.

Take a look at images of some of the more interesting pieces of merchandise below:

The Big Three of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are of course front and center and while Momoa’s Aquaman does not have his own T-shirt (yet), he does have a plush toy. And like the action figure design we’ve seen, the character has his traditional color scheme on display. The official Aquaman stills we’ve seen have been as monochromatic as the early images released of Batman and Wonder Woman. We can probably expect the colors to be relatively muted, but it seems like Aquaman will feature dark gold and green in his attire.

Some of the merchandise designs are action shots from the film plastered on a mug or shirt, but the Wonder Woman shirt, the “False God” design, and the illustrated comic book panel-like designs featuring Batman and Superman are interesting. With Aquaman the only other superhero beyond Batman and Superman to get his own toy, this may be further evidence that the King of Atlantis will have a bigger role than previously hinted at in any of the trailers.

The merchandising tie-ins generally are not accurate representations of a movie’s plot, but we’ve seen some plot points leaked via the toys before. We await a real look at Aquaman in action, and seeing him featured in merchandise might be a hint that we’ll see it soon.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in theaters on March 25th, 2016; Suicide Squad on August 5th, 2016; Wonder Woman – June 23rd, 2017; Justice League – November 17th, 2017; The Flash – March 23rd, 2018; Aquaman – July 27th, 2018; Shazam – April 5th, 2019; Justice League 2 – June 14th, 2019; Cyborg – April 3rd, 2020; Green Lantern – June 19th, 2020.
