Now, being in the Bay Area, one might feel like they can’t do much (if anything) to help those in need in the City of Lights. Well, plot twist: we have the internet. And, while it’s a mixed-bag of good and bad, it can unite us, connect us to causes around the world. Yes, even in Sin City.

Flag fake News

A bevy of “alternative facts” have been circulating around social media and far-right media outlets, claiming that this was an ISIS event and/or a pull for quote “the left to capitalize on gun policy changes.” Yea, ain’t nobody got time for that.

The Red Cross is working in full-swing in Nevada to help accrue necessary blood donations, medical supplies, and other medical needs to the over 500-plus victims. Visit their donation page here to send whatever you can.

Write Your Senator and House Member

Wrote to congress men and women who have advocated for less strict 2nd Amendment rights, and (rightly) argue that yesterday’s event’s don’t need occur again. Put the safety-lock on more strict gun regulations; you can find the mailing addresses to those State Representatives here.
